31st December is the last day of every year, and its also my mom's birthday.
it's a day where everyone hang out at the cafes, shopping with a gang of friends, watching firecrackers at the night beach.
It's a time, where everyone wishes a new year's coming with more excitements, more surprises, success.
It's a new path to expand our knowledge, to further our goals to achievement levels, to continue their journey, just like solving a maze.
Sound of a banging door is getting louder each passing years, I don't know if this is a good changing sign for each other or not, but I just hope mothers understand their children more than anyone, vice versa.
I got fed up the way mom wants me to be, I did tried my best to be mom's loving child, but all the responses were disappointing. When all disappointment lies down, I want to be myself, who I am. Mom will stop me or cries over,
"where's my old baby Elaine." holding on a 5 year old graduated photo of me.
"I'm right here, grown up,, mom!!" I yelled.
I had my silent treatment just five days ago, so just ruined a public holiday in the early morning. Great.. fine, I will rebel.
Tomorrow is mom's birthday. It's a frustrating hours to find a present today, having lots of questions and answers spinning around my head,
should I buy or should I not ;
usable or not suitable ;
beautiful or unfit ;
too expensive or fair price ;
the most important is positive response or negative ?
There was one introduced, I was sure it's a good gift for her age, however the problem was unaffordable. Forcefully to place back to the rack and search again, again, again, again. I found it, but wasn't sure it's fitting with clothes or not.
I am sooo sooo sooo desperately wanted to have a BigMac and fries for lunch, but I know I need keep the rest and use it well, for tomorrow. I tried stalls that I never went to, an fresh warm Egg Tart and an chicken puff, that taste like Char Siew, and a pack of Potato Chip I longed for.
