16th October 2024, Wednesday

There were 3 anime, which I thought not value for my time to watch, turns out liking them eventually after given second chance to resume the watch after a very long time.

Soulmate Adventure
I rarely stumbled on anime that comes from Mandarin narration other than Japanese anime. The attraction came from its name contained the word "Soulmate".

Normal couples romance always use bold, clear words such as "boyfriend" and "girlfriend",  unlike "soulmate" or "lover" term though convey the same message of intimate relationship but gives a sense of romance choice.

I stopped watching after Episode 2, because I berated its illustration. But never to know it was such a great watch after a second try.

Legend of Korra
Again, I rarely expose myself to other animation after loving anime. This is by far the longest English animation series that I have ever watched.

I don't really like long season series if it's not worth catching up for, I would give up after knowing it from the start, same goes to Naruto, Boruto anime. It's much forgiving if it turns out every series are great, or not knowing half way watching them.

I left a gap after watching first few episode in first series. I slowly open up, and getting more curious of the elements and nations that I continue to watch till the end of all 4 series.

Made In Abyss
I got frustrated by the fast subtitle, yes. Just that.
Not until it's going to leave the channel by 30 Oct 2024, I gave my second chance and watch them lately. Didn't think it drew me tears episode by episode. Now I still have less than 2 weeks left to finish the 2nd series before it bye bye..

9th October 2024, Wednesday

It makes perfect sense that
I prefer to sit in cafe with only my sketch book and limited data network.
Because it's a dedicated time to work without distractions,
unlike in my room that have bed and laptops that I use most on watching anime, reading news, gaming and working.

The Unusual of First Meet

After passing up work to my boss, considered a clock out for the day and I finally get to leave the work chair work mind for a Takoyaki 'brunner' craving at 3pm.

4.06pm, enjoying Takoyaki meal, and after that it's Inktober time. Today is my 8th day continuing cross-hatching sketch. This year, I focus on sketching more landscape and perspective, and I slowly finding my own style if I ever can.

I finish the sketch and inking, as I was about to upload on social media, I found it not contrast enough so I put a hold. I went to Eslite Spectrum at Starhill Gallery. Found an unoccupied free desk seating, I sat down to touch up my sketch once again.

As it goes... a lady from the opposite showed her interest in my sketch book and open the first conversation which totally surprised me.

She showed me a kind of children book illustrated by an artist named Farmer (FarmerWhoPaints) whom I went to his open gallery held exactly same venue here the previous year, depicting most his art in landscape illustration during his travel.

Her name is Beth, and she works like a literary job? She is taking notes diligently from books while I finished browsing the book she lent me.

She was surprised of my age over a conversation of year working in my field, I guess she's GenZ age then.

How I wish I have the guts to have her stay for a drink, but we went our separate ways after 8pm.

That's how we first met.
