Heartfelt

I was late for work
one morning.

It was around 9am,
I walked down the shoplots,
and saw an unusual sight.

There was a group of people,
Chinese family, was it?
And an elderly woman,.
She was sitting on a fold-able chair,
with one leg rest on another chair
covered with a bag of ice.

I continued to walk.
Not far from me, an ambulance
was moving in a slow pace,
it wasn't siren, and a few meters
away from a roundabout

The driver seemed unsure,
turning his head front, right and to the left.
In the glance he looked to my direction,
my left hand raised up,
showing him the way,
he raised his palm,
with a smile,
and accelerated.

I looked at my hand,
my action,
was quicker than
my mind.
